This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
One of the best players in the current iteration of the National Hockey League and a key cog in the wheel of the Toronto Maple Leafs offensive and defensive systems, Mitch Marner would hear his name called 4th overall by the blue and white at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. A Memorial Cup champion with the London Knights in 2016 who has also represented his country at both the junior and senior levels of international competition, offered here is this Team Canada pro on-ice style jersey of the style worn at the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships that has been signed by Marner. Made by Nike, the company's "swoosh" logo as well as size "56" and "Made in Canada" designations have all been screened on over the inner collar above a sewn on "IIHF Authentic Collection" label while a Nike swoosh appears over the right breast and an IIHF crest sits over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a Team Canada crest that features embroidered details, additional small heritage style crests have been added over both sleeves as well. Styled over the tops of the shoulders and verso with Marner's number "16" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals, "Marner" has been spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed red twill nameplate at the top of the reverse. Featuring pro on-ice style elements including a fight strap on the interior, Marner has signed over the "6" on the reverse with a blue marker ink signature that displays well despite light bleeding and has added an annotation reading "2016 W.J." underneath in matching ink that displays in the same condition. With the jersey itself also remaining in overall excellent condition with no issues to report, a Mitch Marner/AJ Sports hologram has been affixed to the bottom of the "6" on the reverse as well.
