Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Retiring after the 1968-69 NHL season, Hall of Famer Pierre Pilote would have been a spectator during the 1970 Stanley Cup finals when Bobby Orr scored his iconic Game 4 overtime winner to clinch the Stanley Cup. We have a matted photo of the famous goal signed by Orr and dedicated to Pilote, with the photo hailing from his personal collection. At approx 16" x 20", the historic image is signed by Orr in black marker, with "Pierre - Thanks for your support - Oshawa 9/15/95". There is a bit of spotting to the photo on the bottom left side, with wear to the matte including to the corners. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
