Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
The first sci-fi television series to captivate audiences, Star Trek used social commentary that people could relate to and in turn, created a cult following that has only grown stronger throughout the franchises 56-year existence. With the original run of the show running between 1966 and 1969, offered here is this lot featuring limited-edition figurines of both Spock and Captain Kirk that were released in 2013 by Hollywood Collectables Group and individually signed by each actor. Both measuring roughly 19" long and limited to only 750 pieces, the Spock figurine weights just shy of nine (9) pounds while the Captain Kirk example clocks in at nine and a half (9.5) pounds. Both 1:4 scale examples fashioned from hand-painted heavyweight polystone, each example is part of the first one hundred (100) to be released and are therefore "signature editions" which have been signed over their bases with black marker ink signatures that display well (the Shatner signature shows a bit of lightness but nothing major). With the Spock figurine serial numbered "058/100" and the Kirk serial numbered "050/100", the numbers of both are displayed on the bottoms of their bases as well as on labels affixed to the backs of each box. Additionally, hologram stickers are affixed to the underside of each base as well. Both including all their pieces and housed in their original packaging, each is in excellent condition with no flaws to report.
