A veteran of 979 National Hockey League games with the likes of Boston, St. Louis, Montreal, Pittsburgh, New York and Colorado after playing his junior hockey with the Niagara Falls Flyers of the OHA, Don Awrey would be part of two Stanley Cup winning teams with the Bruins, in 1970 and 1972. Also suiting up for Team Canada in 1972 at the famed Summit Series against the Soviet Union, offered here is this West Division All-Stars jersey worn by Awrey during the first and only NHL All-Star Game of his career in 1974. Sporting a large Gerry Cosby's label affixed to the inner collar along with an added "50" designation size swatch as well, the front of the heavyweight durene knit offering is decorated with a large NHL league crest that features entirely embroidered details while single layer orange twill stars have been added over the left and right breast respectively that feature matching NHL shield emblems in them as well. With additional NHL shield crests atop of both shoulders and single layer white twill stars residing inside the orange stripe over the front and reverse hem, the interior of the shirt is void of any sort of fight strap. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Awrey's number "26" in dual layer orange-over-black tackle twill numerals, "Awrey" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters outlined in orange thread that have been sewn down directly to the material at the top of the reverse. With an additional white twill star in each sleeve stripe, the jersey shows game-wear via dark stick marks over the front, minor pilling on the interior and staining over the left side of the collar, both cuffs and the front hem.
