Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A product of the QMJHL's Laval Titan and Granby Bisons who would win a Presidents Cup championship in 1993 with Laval, David Haynes would go on to play four (4) years of Canadian university hockey with Dalhousie University and parts of two (2) seasons of minor pro in the ECHL and WCHL. Also playing a two (2) game stint with the Canadian National Team in 1999-00, offered here is this Team Canada jersey attributed to have been worn by Haynes during those two (2) contests. A Bauer made offering with sewn over "Pro Wear" and size "54" labels affixed to the inner collar, a Bauer wordmark logo has been sublimated into the material over the right side of the collar. Decorated over the front of the jersey with Team Canada tackle twill crest that features embroidered details throughout, the sleeves and verso have been accented with the number "6" in dual layer white-over-black tackle twill numerals. Having had "Haynes" spelt out in heat pressed on white vinyl letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, it is important to note that the jersey shows evidence of a former nameplate on the interior and that it was hastily made up as the "N" in "Haynes" appears to be a cut and paste together job. Exhibiting good game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, good board burns are present over the lower front and both sleeves as well, heaviest on the right side, which also shows a blue coloured board paint transfer. Additionally, the original fight strap and pilling are observed on the interior.
