Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A trio of fine lumber offerings once wielded by men that combined to play a total of 2283 games in the National Hockey League, offered here is this trio of game-used sticks from the likes of Alexandre Daigle, Alexei Yashin and Ray Sheppard. All dating from the mid-to-late-1990s and used during their respective tenures with the Ottawa Senators (Daigle and Yashin) and Detroit Red Wings (Sheppard), each stick had the players name stamped over the upper shaft. All retaining most of or all of their original tape jobs over the handles/knobs and blades, with only the Yashin example missing its original wrapping over the blade that is worth noting for accuracy, the sticks are from a variety of manufacturers including Titan (Daigle), Sher-Wood (Yashin) and Victoriaville (Sheppard). All showing game-use via numerous marks and abrasions throughout the areas of the shafts, lower shafts, heels and blades, all three (3) sticks remain structurally sound and free of any cracks or breaks upon inspection and all sport stamped/penned notations over their lower shafts relating to factory production. With the Yashin and Sheppard models retaining their foil accent stickers over their lower shafts, the Sheppard stick remains in its original unsigned state while the examples of Daigle and Yashin have been signed by their respective players over the forehand sides of their blades with black or gold marker ink signatures that display without issue. Senators LOA's for the Yashin and Daigle sticks will accompany the lot.
