This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A product of the Ontario Hockey League's Peterborough Petes and selected 2nd overall at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins, Jordan Staal has played over 1250 National Hockey League games over the course of his career thus far with Pittsburgh as well as the Carolina Hurricanes. A Stanley Cup champion with the Pens' in 2009 and a World Championship gold medalist with Canada in 2007, offered here is this stick used by Staal during the 2009-10 season in which he posted 49 points in a full 82 games played. A Bauer Vapor X60 model offering with "Staal" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of white over both the handle/knob and blade while a now dried gripping agent has been added over the length of the shaft. Having been signed by Staal over the forehand side of the blade tape with a blue marker ink signature that displays without issue, the stick shows game-wear in the form of marks and abrasions over the shaft, lower shaft, heel and toe of the blade while both sides of the blade tape show puck marks and small tears.
