A veteran of 704 games in his National Hockey League career after being drafted 234th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Maxime Talbot, a product of Rouyn-Noranda, Hull and Gatineau in the QMJHL, would suit up for Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Colorado and Boston during his eleven (11) years in the league. Scoring both Pittsburgh goals in the deciding Game 7 of the 2009 Stanley Cup finals to seal the deal for the Penguins, offered here is this stick used by Talbot during his time in the Steel City circa the mid-to-late-2000s during either the 2006-07 or 2007-08 campaigns. A RBK 7K Pro Lite II model twig with the stamped "Talbot" identifiers now faded away and unidentifiable, the stick retains its original tape job of white wrapped around the shaved handle/knob which has had Talbot's number "25" penned to the top of it in black marker ink while the blade still sports its original black tape over the entirety of it. Signed by Talbot over the forehand side of the heel with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue, the stick sports moderate-to-heavy game-wear with numerous marks and abrasions observed throughout its entirety, soiling to the handle/knob tape, multiple tears over both sides of the blade tape as well as the underside and chipping to the graphics. Of note, the stick is slightly tacky to the touch, likely caused by a thin layer of now dried and worn of gripping agent that was applied. A COA from Double Deke Hockey will accompany the piece.
