Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Playing his high school hockey with the powerhouse Minnetonka Skippers high school program that has produced several professional players throughout its history, Pieter Von Steinbergs would graduate from the program in 2015 and go on to play a trio of seasons in the NAHL (North American Hockey League) before beginning a college career with Amherst College at the NCAA's Div III level. Offered here, from his lone season spent with the Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL, is this jersey worn by Von Steinbergs throughout the year. Made by K1, a brand label displaying both size "XL" and "Made in USA" designations is affixed to the inner collar while a K1 logo appears sublimated into the material over the reverse hem as well. Decorated over the front with a Magicians team crest that includes embroidered details, a NAHL league crest is sublimated into the material over the right breast and the sleeves and verso have been styled with Von Steinbergs' number "4" in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals. Having had matching alternate logo patches added atop of both shoulders, "Von Steinberg" has been spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed black twill nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining an intact fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows good game-wear throughout via stick marks, board burns, coloured board paint transfers, small unrepaired holes/cuts and pilling around the right cuff and hem.
