Widely considered as one of the top three players throughout the history of the fabled Montreal Canadiens along with Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur enjoyed tremendous success during his Habs tenure, capturing five Stanley Cup championships, three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorials and the Conn Smythe. Enjoying a National Hockey League career that spanned a total of 1126 games and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988, Lafleur would come out of retirement in the late-1980s, suiting up with the New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques during that time before retiring again for good in 1991. Offered here, we present this stick used by Le Demon Blond during the period of the late-1980s/early-1990s with either the New York Rangers or Quebec Nordiques. A Chimo GLM 999 model twig in black and blue with "Lafleur G 10" stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of white around the shaved down handle and black around the entirety of the blade. Also having had his number "10" penned over the knob in black marker ink, the stick shows use via a number of marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft, including some small chips to the wood that reveal its natural colour underneath. Also sporting light marks over both sides of the blade tape, Lafleur has signed over the bottom portion of the shaft on the forehand side of the stick with a black marker ink signature that displays well despite some very minor wear in places. A Classic Authentics hologram has been affixed to the backhand side of the lower shaft to validate the authenticity of the signature.
