Raffi Torres’ No. 28 Team Canada game-worn jersey is from the 2001 IIHF World Junior Championships in Russia. Torres scored three goals and had two assists for five points in seven games during the 2001 tournament staged in Moscow and Podolsk, when Canada fell short of its first gold medal since 1997 and claimed bronze for a second straight year. There is blue paint transfer on the front tail of Torres’ Canada gamer, which is covered with black marks that testify to his tenacious style of play. Nike size 58 and IIHF tagging are in the back of the collar along with a Made in Canada flag tag and the IIHF patch is sewn on the rear tail, which has red paint transfer on the left side near the hip, and black marks on the right side. There is a bit of blue paint transfer on the white stripe on the left sleeve cuff and both sleeves exhibit board burns and marks. Comes with an LOA signed by CHA president Bob Nicholson and a couple of pictures of Torres wearing the jersey in action from the tournament.
