The 2nd edition of the "Bally's Greatest Sports Legends Golf Classic and Banquet", held at the Bally's Park Place Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, offered here is this broadside from the tournament signed by twenty-nine (29) of that year's attendees. Measuring roughly 22" x 28" in size, the poster displays "Bally's Salutes The Greatest Sports Legends" at the top while sixty-two (62) athletes and sports figures are listed below from sports such as baseball, golf, basketball, boxing, football, hockey, auto racing, horse racing, tennis, track and field, swimming, wrestling, rodeo and writing while the event hosts from the first year of the event in 1983 is listed as well as the one from the year the poster is from. Also displaying the pictures of various sports at the bottom of the piece, the poster has been signed by twenty-nine (29) including names such as; Jim Grant (baseball), Leo Durocher (baseball), Bob Feller (baseball), Al Kaline (baseball), Warren Spahn (baseball), Rick Barry (basketball), Elgin Baylor (basketball), Bob Cousy (basketball), John Havlicek (basketball), George Mikan (basketball), Herb Adderley (football), Chuck Bednarik (football), Otto Graham (football), Bob Hayes (football), Ollie Matson (football), Marion Motley (football), Lenny Moore (football), Joe Perry (football), Kyle Rote (football), Jim Taylor (football), Steve Van Buren (football), Doak Walker (football), Phil Esposito (hockey), Bobby Hull (hockey), Alice Marble (tennis), Bobby Riggs (tennis), Bob Seagren (track and field) and Larry Mahan (rodeo) as well as one other that could not be identified. All signed in thin black marker and displaying without issue other than some very light fading from age, the poster itself shows heavy wearing including creases, tears, stains, toning, holes corner/edge wear and surface wear.
