His eleventh and final season with the Montreal Canadiens before returning to the club in 1936-37, Howie Morenz saw action in 39 games with the Habs in 1933-34, scoring 21 points. On October 3, 1934, Morenz was traded along with goaltender Lorne Chabot and defenceman Marty Burke to the Chicago Black Hawks for forwards Leroy Goldsworthy and Lionel Conacher, along with defenceman Roger Jenkins. The "Stratford Streak" would play in parts of two seasons in The Windy City along with 19 games with the Rangers before being reunited with his beloved Habs. This 1933-34 O-Pee-Chee V304 Series "A" Morenz card has been graded FR 1.5 by PSA. Sporting a few small blemishes including to the lower right on the front of the card, there is some mild corner wear, with a pair of small creases on the lower reverse that are noticeable on the front of the card. Despite the condition issues, this specimen presents wonderfully and is definitely a choice example.
