After a season without hockey cards, kids and others must have been excited/smiling when they first saw Parkhurst packs in stores in 1957, with the Canadiens and Maple Leafs featured and Maurice Richard appearing on wax pack display boxes. Offered here in complete set from with all fifty (50) cards that make up the checklist present and accounted for, is this assembly of Parkhurst's 1957-58 hockey card release. Paced by a group of eight (8) cards that have just been received back from grading at PSA, the graded contingent includes the key rookie cards of Henri Richard (#4 - PSA VG-EX 4) and Frank Mahovlich (#17 - PSA VG-EX 4), rounding out the lead quartet are the examples of Maurice Richard (#5 - PSA EX 5) and Jacques Plante (#15 - PSA VG-EX 4) while the remaining four (4) graded cards include names such as Ed Chadwick (#2 - RC - PSA VG-EX 4), Jean Beliveau (#3 - PSA VG-EX 4), Charlie Hodge (#17 - PSA NM 7) and Tim Horton (#22 - PSA VG-EX 4). For the rest of the set, mostly falling in the condition ranges of VG to VG-EX and EX to EX-MT, the key cards included feature Canadiens players such as Doug Harvey (GOOD - faint but large crease over the right side), Boom Boom Geoffrion (VG to VG-EX - light surface wear) and Dickie Moore (VG-EX to EX - slight corner wear) while Maple Leaf notables include George Armstrong (GOOD - light water stain over the top of the reverse plus corner wear and light discolouration), Bob Pulford RC (GOOD - small crease at top right and ding to top border and Bobby Baun RC (VG to VG-EX - corner wear). Finally, for the rest of the set, thirteen (13) cards present in the range of EX to EX-MT, four (4) cards are in the vicinity of VG-EX to EX, nine (9) cards are seen as being around VG to VG-EX, two (2) cards fall into the realm of G to VG, six (6) cards show as GOOD and finally, two (2) cards are in the scope of FR to G condition.
