Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Chosen first overall in 1984 in a draft that saw Patrick Roy selected in the third round, Brett Hull in the sixth, and Luc Robitaille in the ninth, it was no surprise that Mario Lemieux received premier placement after scoring a mind blowing 282 points in his final season in the Q. We offer a 1992 Classics Draft Picks card signed by Lemieux. Placing a perfect blue fiber-tip marker on the lower section, the card itself exhibits just very light corner wear. We should note that this is not one of the numbered 2000 signed cards from the series, as it was personally autographed for our consignor who was in charge of Hockey projects at Classic/Score Board in 1992.
