Sharing citizenship with both the United States of America and Canada, Brett Hull would choose to suit up in the red, white and blue colours of Team USA in international competition and helping the Americans to victory at the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and an Olympic silver medal in 2002. Inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009, offered here is this Team USA jersey donned by Hull during pre-tournament play leading up to the 1987 Canada Cup. Made by CCM, the air-knit construction garment sports a CCM label affixed to the inner collar while a CCM logo patch is heat-pressed on over the reverse hem. Displaying a faded size "50" designation in blue ballpoint pen ink over the neck label, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Team USA crest that features embroidered details while the sleeves and verso have been styled with Hull's number "32" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals. Having had "Hull" spelt out in dual layer white-over-red tackle twill numerals across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse and retaining its fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows good game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns over both sleeves, a blue coloured board paint transfer over the left forearm and lower front, an unrepaired hole in the right elbow and couple of fabric pulls over the front. Also featuring light pilling on the interior, the jersey has been photo-matched to an image of Hull taken during pre-tournament play against Team USA that shows a match to the stick marks over the lower reverse near the left hip.
