A product of the Granby Bisons in the QMJHL who was drafted 38th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Eric Desjardins would go on to play seventeen (17) seasons in the National Hockey League, suiting up with the Canadiens as well as the Philadelphia Flyers. The first and to date only defenseman to score a hat-trick in a Stanley Cup Finals game, hoisting Lord Stanley's mug with the Habs in 1993, offered here is this Flyers jersey issued for Desjardins use during the lockout shortened 1994-95 season, his first in the "City of Brotherly Love". Made by CCM, both Maska Air-Knit and size "54" labels have been affixed to the inner collar while the emblems of CCM and the NHL shield have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Having had Desjardins' number "37" penned over the Maska tag in black ink, the front of the garment is decorated with Philly's familiar team crest, which has been administered in a layered tackle twill style. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Desjardins' number "37" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Desjardins" is spelt out in single layer black twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior and showing no signs of game-wear, the jersey is found to be in overall good condition despite some spot stains near the left cuff and over both the front and reverse. Additionally, the nameplate shows a little bit of yellowing from age.
