Two-time Selke Trophy winner Michael Peca wore this photo-matched New York Islanders captain’s third jersey during the 2002-03 season. Peca had 42 points (13 goals, 29 assists) in 66 games in his second season on Long Island after he was acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres. The jersey is photo-matched to the black mark on the lower right sleeve to an included printed photo which is Getty Images #52414438. Size 56 flag tag hangs inside the back of the tie-neck collar of this gamer, an Islanders third-jersey style that was introduced that season. Game wear includes marks above the team crest and a mark on the front tail, black marks and board burns on both sleeves. The MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2002-2003 Season sewn inside the left rear tail displays registry number A06048, which corresponds to the accompanying LOA that states it is a “Third Set 1” jersey. According to the MeiGray population report the jersey is a "Third Set 1 w/C".
