A product of the Ontario Hockey League's Belleville Bulls and Windsor Spitfires who won a Memorial Cup with Windsor in 2010, Philipp Grubauer would be selected 112th overall by the Washington Capitals at the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and has gone on to play in over 340 games in the National Hockey League during his career thus far with Washington, Colorado and Seattle, winning a Stanley Cup with the Capitals in 2018. Also having represented his native Germany on numerous occasions, offered here is this photo-matched AHL Hershey Bears jersey worn by Grubauer during the 2014-15 season. Made by CCM, a CCM/AHL label as well as "Goalie Style" and size "58" tags are all affixed to the inner collar while CCM logo patches have been added over the reverse neckline and hem respectively. Also sporting a sewn on AHL league patch over the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Bears team crest that features embroidered details throughout while a Blue Cross Medical Insurance sponsorship patch appears over the right breast. Sporting matching alternate logo patches over both shoulders, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Grubauer's number "31" in dual layer cream-over-brown tackle twill letters while "Grubauer" is spelt out in single layer brown twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows excellent game-wear throughout its entirety including puck marks throughout the front and both sleeves, pilling around the collar, red post paint transfers marks over the right elbow area, pilling at the end of the left cuff, a small unrepaired hole on the inside of the left sleeve and pilling plus numerous loose threads on the interior. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey is matched to an image from the season that shows many of the puck marks seen over the front.
