Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
A product of the Bowling Green Falcons in the NCAA and drafted 74th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 1984, Paul Ysebaert would go on to play a total of 532 games in the National Hockey League for five different clubs including New Jersey, Detroit, Chicago, Winnipeg and Tampa Bay. From his time in Florida, we have a Tampa Bay Lightning jersey worn by the Sarnia native in 1997-98. Made by CCM and featuring a lone size "54" fly tag affixed to the inner collar, both the CCM and NHL shield logos have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a familiar Lightning team crest that features both embroidered and textured details, the right breast has the John Cullen shamrock "12" patch that was worn by the team throughout the course of the season added over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with "15" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Ysebaert" has been spelt out in matching style letters that have been placed in a gentle arch over the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Heavy use is shown on the garment, with board burns, scrapes and paint transfer to the sleeves, and numerous team repairs to the upper and lower left sleeve. There is also pilling to the interior. An LOA will accompany.
