Widely considered as one of the top three players throughout the history of the fabled Montreal Canadiens along with Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur enjoyed tremendous success during his Habs tenure, capturing five Stanley Cup championships, three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorials and the Conn Smythe. Enjoying a National Hockey League career that spanned a total of 1126 games and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988, Lafleur would come out of retirement in the late-1980s, suiting up with the New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques during that time before retiring again for good in 1991. Offered here, we present this stick issued to Lafleur for his use in the late-1980s, likely with the Rangers in 1988-89 but perhaps also a short time later with the Nordiques. A Sher-Wood P.M.P. 7000 model twig in blue and black with "Lafleur 10" stamped to the upper shaft, the stick sports a shaved down handle at the top and has never had tape applied around the handle/knob or blade. Retaining an intact NHL accent sticker around the lower shaft, the stick remains in overall good condition but does show wear via numerous marks/abrasions and small chips throughout the length of the shaft and blade, which is slightly dirty and worn along the bottom edge, possibly from road hockey use.
