One of only seven men throughout a century of NHL hockey to eclipse the insurmountable 700-goal plateau, Alexander Ovechkin has proven himself as one of the game’s all-time greatest, with HOF enshrinement guaranteed. Staring down the barrel towards the NHL's all-time goal scoring record currently held by Wayne Gretzky and the practical owner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy that is awarded at seasons end to the man with the most goals during the season, Ovi has won it nine (9) times, including a run of four (4) straight between 2012-13 and 2015-16. From a year that saw him with the 6th goal scoring title of his career, offered here is this stick used by Ovechkin during the 2015-16 season of play. A Bauer Supreme 1S model twig with "Ovie 8" factory graphics over the shaft below Ovechkin's personal logo, the stick retains its original red cloth finished with blue vinyl over the handle/knob and white that has been darkened over both sides around the blade. Retaining its factory production date and serial number stickers affixed to the underside of the shaft, it is worth noting that the stick was broken at the lower shaft and both pieces have been crudely taped back together with a clear wrapping. Sporting a Capitals Authentics hologram sticker numbered "13938" over the forehand side of the shaft, the stick is tacky to the touch froma bit of residue from a now dried gripping agent visible over the middle of the shaft while game-use is observed via via a handful of small marks and abrasions throughout the shaft, heel and blade. Additionally, the blade tape shows some wear through some small tears along the top and bottom edges.
