A fan favourite throughout his considerable time with the Boston Bruins, serving as the club’s most tenured team captain, Ray Bourque transitioned from Beantown to Denver after 21 seasons and spent a pair of seasons with the Aves which included winning a Stanley Cup his final year. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004 and holding the NHL record for most career goals, assists, and points by a defenceman in the history of the league, offered here is this stick used by Bourque as a member of the Boston Bruins in the era of the mid-1990s. A Sher-Wood made PMPX 9950 model that is black throughout the length of the shaft, "Bourque 77" factory graphics are present over the shaft and the stick retains its original tape job of white over the shaved down handle, which has had a trio of black dots penned to the bottom of it, while the original black wrapping around the blade was removed to facilitate Bourque's flowing black marker ink signature over the forehand side, which displays without issue. Also sporting an intact NHL accent sticker around the lower shaft which is covering up some of the factory production code that is stamped in the same area, the stick displays good game-use in the form of a number of marks and abrasions over the shaft, lower shaft and heel while the blade displays some residue caused by its former tape job.
