A standout with the Saskatoon Blades during his junior career and drafted 1st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Wendel Clark would play a total of fifteen (15) years in the National Hockey League, with thirteen (13) of those years being spent in the blue and white colours of the Maple Leafs. Captaining the club between 1991 and 1994, the Maple Leafs would retire Clark's number to the rafters of the Air Canada Centre on November 22nd, 2008. Posting twenty (20) points in twenty-one (21) games played during the 1993 Stanley Cup Playoffs, offered here is this Toronto Maple Leafs jersey worn by Clark during the 1992-93 season that is attributed to have been worn during that memorable playoff run. Made by CCM, a size "54" fly tag and the remains of a Maska Ultrafil label are affixed to the inner collar while the logos of CCM and NHL have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it, the distinguished captain's "C" has been added over the left breast. Having had the Stanley Cup centennial crest placed over the right breast and matching alternate logo patches sewn on atop of both shoulders, the sleeves (shortened to Clark's preference) and verso have been styled with Clark's number "17" in single layer white twill numerals while "Clark" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows game-wear via good board burns and coloured board paint transfers over both sleeves as well as some light sweat staining around both cuffs, a couple stick marks near the hem at the right side of the reverse and light pilling on the interior.
