Released during seasons that saw the Montreal Canadiens continue their period of dominance over the National Hockey League, winning their third (3rd) and fourth (4th) of five (5) straight Stanley Cup championships, offered here is this lot featuring starter sets of Topps' 1957-58 and 1958-59 hockey releases as well as a starter set of 1958-59 Parkhurst. Starting with the grouping from 1957-58 Topps, including thirty-two (32) out of the sixty-six (66) cards that make up a complete assembly, all the cards present are found in a low-grade state with all having creases, worn/rounded corners and other defects while missing for a complete set are #'s 1, 3, 6, 16, 18, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34-Delvecchio, 35-Sawchuk, 36, 39, 41, 42-Howe, 43, 44, 45, 46-Ullman RC, 47, 48-Kelly, 52, 53-Worsley, 54, 55, 57, 59, 62, 63, 64 and 66. Moving on to the 1958-59 Topps cards, including forty-nine (49) of the sixty-six (66) cards that make up a complete assembly, all the cards are in a low-grade state with all having creases, worn/rounded corners and other defects while missing for a complete set are #'s 3, 4, 8-Howe, 11, 20, 21, 22, 28, 30-Shack RC, 36-Pilote, 40-Bucyk, 42, 44, 52, 63, 65-Ullman and 66-Hull RC. Finally, for the 1958-59 Parkhurst group that includes thirty-two (32) of the fifty (50) cards, once again all the cards are in a low-grade state with creases, wear/rounded corners and other defects while missing for a complete set are #'s 7, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22-Plante, 23, 28-Geoffrion, 33-Mahovlich, 34-Beliveau, 37, 38-M. Richard, 40, 42-Horton, 44 and 45. Additionally, a group of twenty (20) various cards dating from the 1950s to 1970s from Parkhurst, Topps and O-Pee-Chee complete the lot including a 1961-62 Parkhurst #12 Duff, a 1963-64 Topps #40 Murphy and a 1964-65 Topps #46 Duff with those three cards in better condition than those of the starter sets.
