Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A Stanley Cup champion with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and of course a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee in 2011, Ed Belfour did and won it all during his 963 game NHL career and by the end of it would win a total of 484 contests. Offered here, and hailing from the personal collection of “Eddie the Eagle” is this pair of pro stock Reebok Premier Series I goalie pads owned and used by Belfour that date from the mid-to-late-2000s. White, navy and silver in colour with navy coloured Reebok identifiers and logos over the face and outside of each pad, no "Belfour" identifiers have been embroidered into either pad. With all the strapping, elastics and buckles intact, the pads display just light signs of each through puck marks and light soiling over each pillow while there is also some wear/scuffing to the "RBK" logos that appear over each outside roll. Displaying residue from a formerly applied sticker over the top of the left pad and possibly dating from his time overseas at the end of his career with Leksands IF (no photos were found on Belfour wearing this particular pair), the pads hail directly from Belfour's personal collection and come accompanied by his signed LOA.
