Originating in the WCHL in the late-1960s as the Winnipeg Jets, the Wranglers relocated to Calgary in 1977, spending ten seasons in the locale before becoming the Lethbridge Hurricanes in 1987. Playing three (3) of his four (4) seasons of junior hockey in Calgary with the Wranglers before turning professional and playing fifteen (15) games in the National Hockey League with the Edmonton Oilers, offered here is this Wranglers jersey worn by Cote during the 1980-81 season. A knit construction offering made by Cooper that sports a lone "CAHA Approved" label affixed to the inner collar, the jersey measures out to roughly a size "46" and features a screened on "Cooper" brand logo over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with "Calgary" in individually applied white letters that feature blue chainstitched embroidery and run diagonally down the chest, the sleeves and verso have been styled with Cote's number "15" in dual layer blue-over-white tackle twill numerals. Retaining a loop style fight strap on the interior, the jersey displays excellent game-wear including stick marks, team repairs, coloured board paint transfers, fabric snags/pulls and small unrepaired holes throughout its entirety while pilling is observed on the interior. An LOA will accompany the piece.
