Widely considered as one of the top three players throughout the history of the fabled Montreal Canadiens along with Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau, Guy Lafleur enjoyed tremendous success during his Habs tenure, capturing five Stanley Cup championships, three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorials and the Conn Smythe. Enjoying a National Hockey League career that spanned a total of 1126 games and inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988, Lafleur would come out of retirement in the late-1980s, suiting up with the New York Rangers and Quebec Nordiques during that time before retiring again for good in 1991. Offered here, we present this stick used by Le Demon Blond during the 1984-85 season, his final year wearing the famed red, white and blue colours of Les Canadiens. A Sher-Wood P.M.P. 6030 model offering with "Lafleur G. 10" stamped to the upper shaft, a date stamp appearing to read "2 OCT 1984" is found on the underside of the heel along with a pencil notation reading "225-SPC". Retaining its original white tape job around the handle/knob and black over the entirety of the blade, the original foil accent sticker is still found intact around the lower shaft as well. Displaying excellent game-use throughout its entirety including numerous dark marks throughout the length of the shaft and light marks over both sides of the blade tape, a swatch of white tape has been added over the forehand side of the blade which has been signed by Lafleur with a black ballpoint pen ink signature that display well despite fading from age and also includes an inscription reading "Best Wishes" in matching ink and condition. A true gem used by one of the greatest to ever don the famed red, white and blue of the Montreal Canadiens.
