Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Finishing the 1949-50 NHL season 1–2–3 in scoring - a feat never again rivaled - the Detroit Red Wings' Production Line featured Gordie Howe, Sid Abel and Ted Lindsay. Named for the line's goal output as well as a reference to Detroit, the car-making capital of the United States, the trio would intimidate the opposition for four seasons, beginning in 1947-48. This lot offers a trio of sticks individually signed by each member of the Production Line. Modern Northland models from the "Collectors Limited Edition" series made to resemble vintage 1970s sticks, each one has "Northland Pro" on both sides of the shaft, with the players name stamped to the upper shaft. Each player has signed the blade of his respective stick in matching blue marker, with Howe adding a personalization along with "Mr. Hockey", "1071 Goals" and "HOF 72". The signatures display beautifully, with the sticks in like-new condition.
