A celebrated Canadian artist well remembered for his hockey portrayals and best known for his 1972 'At the Crease' work featuring a generic masked goaltender guarding his net, we offer a pair of limited-edition Ken Danby artist proof prints including one signed featuring Wayne Gretzky waving to the fans on his final skate entitled "The Great Farewell" (82/999), along with one showing a pair of youths watching Team Canada defeat the Russians in 1972 through the magic of television entitled "Hockey Night in Canada (78/195). The Gretzky print is 26 1/2" x 32", with Gretzky signing over the center of the base in pencil, with Danby signing over the bottom right in pencil, with the limited-edition number handwritten over the bottom left. The HNIC print is 24" x 32", signed by Danby over the bottom right in pencil, with the limited-edition number handwritten over the bottom left. Both show light wear, and each comes in their original folder with gold seal and Danby label.
