Always popular and talked about highly among those collectors that chase vintage offerings, Parkhurst’s inaugural hockey release from the 1951-52 season is up for grabs here in starter set form with 26 of the 105 cards that make up the checklist being included. A release that features both options and rookie cards galore throughout its entirety, the grouping offered here is missing the key "big bucks" first-year examples of 4-Richard, 61-Sawchuk and 66-Howe and is as well void of the rookie cards of 10-Harvey, 14-Geoffrion, 37-Gadsby, 48-Bentley, 49-Mosienko, 56-Lindsay and 63-Delvecchio. Still sporting some of the National Hockey League's most prominent names of the era through the cards that are included, the grouping, found mostly to be in a low-grade condition state throughout, includes the cards of 37-Gasdby (G to VG - corner and surface wear), 52-Barilko Winning Goal (GOOD - crease at bottom border and hairline crease in the middle), 55-Kelly (FR to G - large crease), 80-Flaman (G to VG - corner wear), 94-Stanley (FR to G - creases), 96-Laparde (VG to VG-EX - light corner wear), 104-Rayner (x2 - one around GOOD with a damaged bottom border and one around FR to G with multiple creases). For the rest of the group, #'s 18-Lowe, 23-Henderson and 27-Sullivan are around VG-EX, #'s 17-Couture, 30-Brown, 46-Fogolin, 60-Glover and 78-Timgren are seen as being in the scope of G to VG and finally, #'s 32-Barry, 41-Peters, 53-Stewart, 69-Reise Jr., 72-Meeker, 82-Thomson, 89-Eddolls, 92-Kraftcheck, 95-Ronty and 99-Stewart are all in the vicinity of FR to G.
