Entering the foray of the hockey card market with their 1954-55 release, Topps would go on to become the top brand for hockey cards in the United States throughout the fifties, sixties, seventies and eighties. Offered here, we present this grouping of Topps hockey cards totaling out to 133 that date between 1954-55 and 1961-62. Paced by a starter set of the company's 1959-60 release that includes 44 of the 66 cards in the checklist, the group also includes four (4) extras, majority of the cards exhibit pronounced surface wear while most of the cards also display with multiple creases and/or heavy creasing as well. For the extra cards, including a copy of #42 Sawchuk and #48 Evans Action, those have clear tape residue on their corners over the front of the cards while dried glue graces the reverse. Additionally, the extra copy of card #6 that pictures Ted Lindsay over the front also has dried glue on the reverse. For the rest of the lot, included are cards from 1954-55 (20 cards - almost all the cards have a long crease or multiple creases and cards 17-Mortson, 36-Mackell and 60-Schmidt have pieces of tape/stains from it over their upper fronts), 1960-61 (36 cards plus 6 extras - included are two copies of Stan Mikita's rookie card, one which has multiple creases, rounded/worn corners and surface wear while the second example has good wear to its corners including folds/creases/general damage. Additionally, there is a group of 10 cards that are nicer than the rest and crease free including #'s 9, 23, 35, 38, 42, 43, 47, 50, 64 and 65 while 11 cards have dried glue residue over the reverses including #'s 2, 10, 12, 21, 25-Hall, 27, 28, 29, 32, 40 and 49 but still display nice for the most part over their fronts despite a few having a crease or creases. Of the remaining 13 cards, all have good surface wear and creases) and 1961-62 (21 cards - 12 of the cards are in nicer condition than the rest and only exhibit light surface wear and minor defects/wear to their corners while appearing to be crease free including #'s 7, 12, 21, 23, 25, 33, 37-Dejordy RC, 42-1961 Hawks, 43, 51, 61 and 64. Finally, card 24-Pilote has dried glue residue over its reverse but otherwise presents well while the remainder of the cards having creases, wear to their corners and surface wear). Still some good vintage cardboard that includes a good amount of star power, don't miss out on these!
