Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
A product of Jokerit junior and senior team system in his native Finland, Teuvo Teravainen would be drafted 18th overall at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, where he played parts of three (3) seasons before being traded to his current National Hockey League home in North Carolina and become a member of the Carolina Hurricanes. A Stanley Cup champion with the Blackhawks in 2015 and a gold medalist with Finland at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships, offered here is this stick used by Teravainen as a member of Team Finland leading up to the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. An STX model twig with "Teravainen #86" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick is void of any graphics except for a couple STX logos throughout and retains its original tape job of blue cloth around the handle/blade and white over the majority of the blade. Displaying heavy use through numerous marks and abrasions over the shaft, lower shaft and heel areas, both sides of the blade tape exhibit puck marks and small cuts/tears that are worth noting for accuracy.
