Hailing from the former Winnipeg Jets that played in the NHL from 1979-80 to and including 1995-96, we offer a Jets jersey most likely worn by both Oleg Tverdovsky and Dallas Eakins during the 1995-96 NHL season. Eakins went to the Jets from St Louis in March of 1996, and played just two games for the club - on March 22nd vs Philly and March 24th vs Colorado. Oleg Tverdovsky played just 37 games for the Jets with all games occurring in 1995-96 (31 regular season and 6 playoff games), beginning on Feb 8th, and concluding on April 28th (playoffs). Tverdovsky was first to wear this jersey, donning it for 19 matches from Feb 8th until March 20th, with Eakins then wearing it for his two games on March 22nd and March 24th. The jersey currently has the Eakins nameplate, with evidence of a former longer nameplate once on the jersey (Eakins is listed wearing the #6 jersey - this jersey, with Tverdovsky switching from this to the #20 jersey upon Eakins arrival on March 22nd). The jersey has a size 54 fly tag, with NHL and CCM crests to the reverse hem. Styled with the Jets team crest in use from 1990-91 to 1995-96 with embroidered detailing, "6" is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single blue twill, with the Goals for Kids patch to the left shoulder and 1972-1995 Cherished Memories crest to the right breast. There are a few puck and stick marks to the front and sleeves, with faint burn marks near each elbow. The team patch with "Limited Edition" resides on the inside hem. This marked the final season in the NHL of the original Jets!
