With very few sets in the hobby more important than this one, the 1951 Bowman baseball release boasted a checklist of 324-cards in all and is the crown jewel release of the Bowman brand due to the rookie cards of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. Boasting a checklist with thirty (30) Hall of Fame players, including several rookie cards, 1951 Bowman is a groundbreaking trading card product that is one of the most popular and valuable sets ever made, with the release helping usher in a new era of collecting. Offered here, we present this lot of twenty-five (25) cards from the 1951 Bowman baseball release that have all been graded by either PSA, SGC or GAI and have earned marks of NM 7 or better for their efforts. Including the likes of 48-Ken Raffensberger (PSA MINT 9 - "OC" qualifier on the label), 54-Ray Boone RC (PSA NM 7), 65-Mickey Vernon (PSA NM-MT 8 - "OC" qualifier on the label), 69-Johnny Schmitz (PSA MINT 9 - "OC" qualifier on the label), 77-Mike Goliat (PSA NM 7), 87-Floyd Baker (PSA NM 7), 96-Sandy Consuegra RC (PSA NM 7), 142-Aaron Robinson (PSA NM-MT 8 - "OC" qualifier on the label), 144-Herman Wehmeier (PSA NM-MT 8 - "OC" qualifier on the label), 158-Chuck Diering (PSA NM 7), 169-Sid Hudson (PSA NM-MT 8), 173-Hank Arft (PSA NM 7), 174-Mickey Owen (PSA NM 7), 178-Ted Gray (PSA NM 7), 179-Danny Litwhiler (PSA NM 7), 192-Hank Wyse RC (PSA NM 7), 194-Harry Lowrey (PSA NM 7), 199-Sheldon Jones (PSA NM 7), 204-Vic Lombardi RC (PSA NM 7), 206-Connie Marrero RC (PSA NM 7), 220-Bob Miller (PSA NM 7) and 247-Bob Ramazzotti RC (PSA NM 7), which are all housed in PSA holders while also present is card #222, the rookie card of Thurman Tucker, which is housed in an older SGC holder and has earned a mark of NM 7 for its effort. Concluded with GAI graded examples of 168-Sam Mele (NM 7) and 213-Neil Berry (NM+ 7.5), all the holders remain in overall excellent condition after quick check, showing some scratches and scuffs that are worth noting for accuracy.
