A fan favourite throughout his considerable time with the Boston Bruins, serving as the club’s most tenured team captain, Ray Bourque transitioned from Beantown to Denver after 21 seasons and spent a pair of seasons with the Aves which included winning a Stanley Cup his final year. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2004 and holding the NHL record for most career goals, assists, and points by a defenceman in the history of the league, offered here is this stick used by Bourque as a member of the Boston Bruins in the era of the mid-1990s. A Sher-Wood made PMPX 9950 model that is black throughout the length of the shaft, "Bourque 77" factory graphics are present over the shaft and the stick retains its original tape job of white over the shaved down handle, which has had a trio of black dots penned to the bottom of it. Having had the original blade tape removed long ago to facilitate Ray's bold black marker ink signature that displays without issue, the NHL accent sticker around the bottom of the shaft remains present and fully intact. Displaying with just light game-use, a small number of dark marks and abrasions are present in the areas of the lower shaft and heel areas while residue from the one applied tape job is found over the blade as well.
