Enjoying a noteworthy career backstopping six different NHL clubs despite going undrafted, Curtis Joseph attended the University of Wisconsin for one season before making his NHL debut for St Louis, in 1989-90. The first goaltender to register thirty (30) or more wins with five (5) different teams, finishing his career with 454 victories and currently sitting seventh (7th) all-time, Joseph would also play in three (3) NHL All-Star Games before retiring after the 2008-09 season. Offered here, we present this stick used by Joseph during his time with the Maple Leafs in the late-1990s. A Bauer made Reactor R6000 model twig with "Cujo" stamped to the upper shaft and a pattern code of "000714 03" stamped to the underside, the stick retains its original white tape job around the knob, hand grip, paddle and blade. Found in Toronto's familiar blue and white colourway, the stick displays with good game-wear including numerous pucks marks and abrasions throughout the entirety of the blade tape, paddle and shaft on both sides, with the heaviest concentration found over the previously mentioned blade tape. With the blade tape sporting tears in spots over the forehand side and additional wear to the tape over the underside of the heel, the backhand side of the upper shaft shows a couple of red post paint transfer spots that are worth mentioning for accuracy as well.
