Makers of high quality sporting equipment since the late-19th century, Reach opened it's first Canadian location circa 1907, and by 1927 the company had merged with famous Boston maker Wright & Ditson. We offer two pairs of vintage Reach hockey gloves. The first pair is in solid black with white leather knuckles and wooden dowels in the wrist guards. Each glove has a circa late-1920s Reach/Wright & Ditson label affixed to the interior. The pair show heavy and continuous use, with heavy wear to the material including a few tears to knuckles and fingers along with discolouration and holes to the palms and fingers. The second pair are beige in colour with brown leather knuckles, with the right glove sporting a circa late-1930s Reach/Wright & Ditson cloth label with hockey player graphic and faded Reach stampings to the palms. These were top-of-the-line models in their day. A name is written in black marker to each along with initials written to the interiors. This pair also show heavy use with rubbing and considerable wear to the material, with a tear beneath the thumb on the right glove.
