Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
The second installment of the National Hockey League-sanctioned competition, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey featured the world's eight best hockey nations, with Canada defeating Finland in the final. This Team Sweden jersey was worn by Andreas Johansson at the tournament, where he saw action in 4 games. Size “56” tagging from Nike is present along the collar along with an IIHF label, with an additional IIHF crest along the back bottom hem. Styled with the familiar Tres Kronor team crest with each twill crown in royal blue, the solid yellow garment has been embellished with twill numbers, with the back letters heat-pressed directly onto the nameplate. The important 2004 World Cup of Hockey crest sits over the left breast next to a Swedish crest, while a Nike inventory bar code resides on the inside hem. The jersey exhibits a stick mark over the front, with additional marks to the sleeves and a small hole resulting from a board burn near the left elbow. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
