The 2nd straight Olympic Games that included a men's hockey tournament with NHL players representing their countries, Canada would win their first Olympic gold medal in 50 years in 2002, taking the first place hardware over the United States while Russia would win bronze over Belarus. The 2010 Winter games again witnessed Canada triumphant, defeating the Americans on Sidney Crosby's famous overtime winner in the gold medal match. This lot offer a quartet of Olympic game pucks, including an example from 2010 and a trio from 2002. First, the 2002 pucks are Gufex made slugs with "Official" and "IIHF" along the sides of both, with the logo of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics one side while the Olympic Rings appear in gold over the other. Two pucks appear in like-new condition, while the other shows a chip on one side, and some wear including to the logos on both sides. The 2010 puck is a Canadian made Sher-Wood model and it features the Olympic rings on front, with the official Vancouver Games logo on the reverse. This puck also appears in like-new condition with no issues.
