The 12th overall selection by the Calgary Flames at the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, Gary Roberts would play a total of 1224 games played during his career with Calgary, Carolina, Toronto, Florida, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay. A Stanley Cup champion with the Flames in 1989 and a three-time NHL All-Star, offered here is this Maple Leafs third jersey worn by Roberts during both the regular season and Stanley Cup Playoffs while serving as the club's alternate captain. Made by Koho, a lone size "56" label graces the inner collar of the classic tie-neck style garment, while a Koho logo patch resides over the reverse neckline. Having had the NHL shield crest embroidered into the reverse hem, the front of the jersey is decorated with a vintage style Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" and other details embroidered into it. Sporting the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast, the sleeves and verso of the jersey have been styled with Roberts' number "7" in single layer blue twill numerals. Having had "Roberts" spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse, the jersey displays with good game-wear through things like stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves plus board burns, unrepaired holes and coloured board paint transfer marks over both sleeves as well along with staining around the collar. Also showing a red board paint transfer mark over the reverse hem plus pilling around the collar and retaining its fight strap on the interior, a MeiGray tag numbered "A05571" is sewn on inside the reverse hem, with the company's Population Report listing it as a "Third Set 2 / Playoffs w/A" offering. Accompanied by a matching MeiGray LOA and photo-match, the jersey is also matched with Getty Image #1470856396 (April 16th, 2003 vs Philadelphia - 2003 Eastern Conference Quarter-Finals Game 4) to various stick marks over the front.
