Bringing a certain “Broad Street Bully” element to Detroit during his tenure, Bob Probert proved to be hard as nails, and was recognized as one of the toughest players in modern history while also adept at putting the puck in the net. Signing with the Chicago Blackhawks after nine seasons in the Motor City and playing the final seven (7) seasons of his NHL career in Chicago, offered here is this stick used by Probert as a member of the Blackhawks in the late-1990s/early-2000s, circa the 1999-2000 season. A Hespeler 8800 model twig with "Probert-14" stamped over the upper shaft, the black coloured stick retains its original tape job of white over the handle/blade and around the entirety of the blade. Stamped with "Extra Stiff" and "130-135" over the topside of the shaft, the stick shows just light game-wear via a few minor puck marks over both sides of the blade tape as well as a number of other marks/abrasions/chips throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft and heel. Additionally, accompanying the stick is a loose number "4" meant for the back of a Blackhawks jersey that has been signed by Probert. A dual layer black-over-red tackle twill numeral that measures roughly 7" x 12 1/2", Probert has autographed it with a large silver marker ink signature that displays with some fading throughout from age. Remaining in overall excellent condition, a JSA Auction LOA will accompany the numeral.
