A star in the National Hockey League after playing a lone season in the World Hockey Association with the Birmingham Bulls, Michel Goulet would go on to play a total of 1089 games over the course of his NHL career with the likes of the Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks, recording eight (8) straight 30+ goal seasons between 1980-81 and 1987-88. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998, Goulet would answer the call of Team Canada on a trio of occasions throughout his career, representing his country at both the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cup tournaments and helping Canada to victory over the Soviet Union in 1987. Offered here, we present this pair of skates worn by Goulet in post-career alumni games/events that originate from his personal collection. Bauer Supreme 7000 model offerings that include the original steel, insoles and laces fed through the eyelets, "Goulet" is penned over the bottom of both skates in black pen ink. Measuring out to roughly a size 10 and signed by Goulet on the outside of both blade holders with blue marker ink signatures that display without issue, both skate show excellent wear throughout their entirety via scuffs, abrasions, frays, stick/puck marks and paint transfers. An LOA signed by Goulet will accompany. Of note, the LOA incorrectly states that the skates were game-worn by Goulet while playing in the National Hockey League.
