Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
Serving as the Director of Goalie Development for the Oakville Rangers of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association after his playing days concluded in 2017-18, Steve Mason was drafted by Columbus in 2006, and earned the Calder Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year in 2009. This type of stick was used by Mason during 2010-11 and 2011-12 with Columbus, and it hails from the personal collection of Carey Price. A Bauer Supreme model with "Mason" stamped to the upper shaft, the original white tape remains over the blade, with blue-over-white tape to the handle and upper shaft. The stick shows moderate to heavier use with numerous marks and surface chips to the paddle and puck marks to the taped blade. There is also red paint transfer to the shaft as well as a few large chips. Mason has signed over the heel in blue marker. A Classic Auctions LOA will accompany along with a COA from Frameworth.
