Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 12/3/2024
One of the most important franchises in the National Hockey League and a charter member of the league all the way back in 1917, the Toronto Maple Leafs have claimed a total of thirteen (13) Stanley Cups over the course of their 107 year history and have had more Hockey Hall of Fame inductees than any other franchise. Offered here, we present this lot of Maple Leafs memorabilia. Including a couple of game-worn helmets, the first is a Warrior Covert CF100 model offering worn by Sam Lafferty during games the Maple Leafs wore their St. Pats alternate throwback jerseys during the 2022-23 season. White in colour with an Oakley visor over the front, green coloured Warrior and TikTok sponsorship decals appear over the front and both sides while Lafferty's number "28" has been added over the front and lower reverse in green coloured letters. Also having had an NHL "Equality - Unity" sticker added over the lower right side, the helmet shows wear via some minor scratches/scuffs and other marks/abrasions as well as graphics wear on the interior (which retains all its padding plus the strapping harness) and is accompanied by a Maple Leafs LOA. For the second helmet, a Bauer Re-Akt 100 model bucket in white that sports Maple Leafs decals over both sides and retains all its padding on the interior plus the strapping harness, blue number "98" decals appear over the front and lower reverse (the number has only ever been worn by Victor Mete during the regular season but he wore CCM so its likely an unknown pre-season/training camp/development camp player that wore it) while an NHL shield sticker appears over the lower right side. Void of a visor, the helmet shows light wear overall through a number of light scratches and scuffs. For the rest of the lot, including a pair of white Maple Leafs game socks made by Reebok that are tagged as being size "L" and were worn by an unknown player, both leg coverings show good wear through numerous dark stick marks, board burns, small unrepaired cuts and coloured board paint transfers. Finally, the lot finishes out with a Maple Leafs practice jersey worn by various players throughout the 2016-17 season. Made by Reebok and featuring size "58" tagging affixed to the inner collar and over the front hem, Reebok logo patches appear over the left breast and reverse neckline while the front is decorated with a Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" embroidered into it. Also displaying a SportChek sponsorship patch over the right breast and a fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows just light wear via a few light marks throughout the body and sleeves as well as minor pilling/fraying on the interior and is accompanied by a Maple Leafs LOA.
