Finishing near the top of the NHL's Western Conference with a record of 52–22–8 to claim top spot in the Central Division, the 2009-10 edition of the Chicago Blackhawks would knock off the Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers to claim the franchise's first Stanley Cup championship since 1961.
