Officiating his first NHL game on October 7, 1993, in St. Louis, Andy McElman spent 23 years and 1,500 games as a linesman, which included playoff games, the Winter Classic in Wrigley Field, the European NHL Premier Games and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. McElman's final contest was on April 3, 2016. This signed linesman's sweater was worn by McElman in 2013-14, specifically in the Nov 9, 2013 match between Boston and Toronto at TD Garden. Produced by CCM with "52" sizing and a crest to the reverse neckline, a partially embroidered NHL shield crest is affixed to the left breast, with "90" in sublimated numeral patches to each sleeve and tackle twill "90" to the reverse. McElman has signed the reverse "0" in black marker, adding "13-14". The sweater shows no obtrusive marks and will be accompanied by a print out of the Nov 9, 2023 game summary where he is listed as linesman, along with a Tim Hortons card he has signed in black marker.
