Pitting the New York Rangers against Atlantic Division rivals the Philadelphia Flyers, the fifth installment of the Winter Classic took place at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, on Jan 2, 2012, with the Blueshirts slipping past the Bullies in the popular outdoor contest, 3-2 before a total attendance of 46,967. Seeing a total of 18:30 of ice time throughout the entirety of the contest, offered here is this Flyers jersey worn by Jakub Voracek during the game's second (2nd) period of play. Made by Reebok and featuring a lone size "56" label affixed to the inner collar below "NHL Winter Classic January 2nd 2012", the crests of both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled over the front of the faux tie-neck style garment with a familiar Flyers team crest that has been administered in a layered felt construction, the all-important 2012 NHL Winter Classic patch is in place atop of the right shoulder. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Voracek's number "93" in dual layer black-over-cream felt numerals, "Voracek" is spelt out in single layer black felt letters across the affixed cream felt nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its original fight strap on the interior and having had a MeiGray tag numbered "I03139" sewn inside the reverse hem, the jersey comes accompanied by a matching MeiGray LOA and shows no obvious signs of game wear since it was worn in only a single period of play.
Additionally, also included with the jersey is the helmet that Voracek would wear throughout the game as well. A black Reebok offering that is still complete with its full strapping harness and all the padding on the interior, "Reebok" is spelt out in white letters over the forehead while Voracek's number "93" has been added via vintage style decals over the crown and lower reverse. Also displaying matching Flyers logos over both sides and a 2012 Winter Classic emblem over the lower right side, a Bauer branded visor is in place over the front of the bucket as well. Accompanied by a MeiGray LOA and matching COR, the helmet is found to be in good condition overall with a number of scratches and scuffs throughout while the decals seen throughout have become raised up from the surface in spots. Finally, the rest of the lot includes the pant shell worn by Voracek throughout the 2012 NHL Winter Classic and again on February 11th, 20212. A black coloured Reebok made offering with orange stripes running down each leg, "Reebok" is embroidered into the front of the left thigh and a Flyers logo is sewn on over the front of the right thigh. Also having had an NHL shield crest over the back of the right leg, a MeiGray tag is affixed to the interior and Voracek's number "93" has been added alongside it in silver marker ink. Displaying game-use via a number of marks and abrasions throughout its entirety, A matching MeiGray LOA will accompany. Lastly, the lot is concluded with a pair of Flyers socks worn by Matt Walker during the practice prior to the outdoor spectacle. Made by Reebok and both tagged as being size "XL+" with Walker's number "8" penned over each size tag in black marker ink numerals, the orange, black and cream coloured stockings remain in overall good condition with just a few dark marks over each and are accompanied by a matching MeiGray LOA and COR.
