Elmira, Ontario-born Dan Snyder died on October 5, 2003, following a single-vehicle accident that led him to a coma. Synder played four years for the Owen Sound Platers in the OHL. After the OHL, he played in the IHL for the Orlando Solar Bears and Chicago Wolves in the AHL while playing 49 regular season games with Thrashers across three seasons.
Next up is Rick Rypien, a player who helped bring to the forefront the often unspoken battle many have with clinical depression. However, tragically, it took his and other's passing to educate others about the true seriousness of the problem. Rypien was a hard-nosed player who would divide his time between the NHL Vancouver Canucks and the team's AHL affiliate Manitoba Moose during his pro career that spanned 2005 to 2011.
For the two cards with the PSA/DNA labels (2001 Dan Snyder and 2006 Rick Rypien), the signatures on the cards are PSA/DNA certified "Authentic Auto" and they are sold as signed cards only and were authenticated by PSA/DNA for the signatures only. For the two cards with the JSA/Beckett labels (2001-02 Synder and 2001-02 Tapper/Vigier/Synder), these are also sold as signed cards only and were authenticated by JSA/Beckett for the signatures only.
