A standout with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers in the NCAA that would go on to be drafted 61st overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Alex Goligoski has played nearly 1100 National Hockey League games in his career as of this writing, suiting up for Pittsburgh as well as Dallas, Arizona and Minnesota over that time. A Stanley Cup champion with the Penguins in 2009, offered here is this Pittsburgh jersey that was worn by Goligoski during the 2008-09 season, including the night he scored the first goal of his NHL career on October 5th, 2008 against the Ottawa Senators in Stockholm, Sweden as part of the 2008 NHL Premier. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "54" label affixed to the inner collar, the logo crests of both the NHL and Reebok adorn the front and reverse necklines respectively. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a familiar Penguins team crest that features embroidered details, the all-important "NHL Premier Stockholm" event patch has been added over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Goligoski's number "13" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals, "Goligoski" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Retaining its fight strap on the interior, which has been signed by Penguins equipment manager Dana Heinze in black marker ink, the jersey displays no obvious signs of game-use other than a few loose threads and remains in excellent condition overall. Having had a Penguins team tag sewn inside the reverse hem that denotes the jersey as being from the set's made up for the Stockholm games, a Penguins COA will accompany the piece. Regarding the photo-match, the jersey has been matched with Getty Image #83089075 (October 2nd, 2008 vs Jokerit Helsinki - 2008 NHL Pre-Season) to a few of the small loose threads and small extra bits of black stitching around the edges of the "3" on the right sleeve.
